Assam City Center University to Host 8th Job Fair, 40 Multinationals to Participate


Guwahati: The leading educational institute Assam Down Town University (AdtU), Guwahati is set to organize the eighth edition of the annual job fair 2022 on June 25th at the university campus for students from all over India.

The one-day event is expected to be attended by 4,000 job seekers, who can be recruited by more than 40 reputable national and multinational companies, including Downtown Hospital, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Ampath, Just dialTalent Aquitance, Marico, DabourSodexo etc.

Last year, the job fair provided a platform for over 3,500 job seekers seeking employment with over 50 reputable organizations.

The job fair is aimed at candidates with between 0 and 5 years of experience. It will appeal to students from various verticals such as management, social sciences, pharmacy, engineering, nursing, allied health and science.

According to CMIE data, India’s unemployment rate hit 7.83% in April. The highest unemployment rate was recorded in the northern state of Haryana at 34.5%, followed by 28.8% in Rajasthan and 21.1% in Bihar.

Meanwhile, unemployment was lowest in Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Assam, where the unemployment rate stood at a miniscule 0.2%, 0.6% and 1.2% respectively.
