MVA to host Bus Driver Day to speed up testing and accreditation process

The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration is taking action to ensure that school bus drivers are able to obtain the appropriate tests and credentials as quickly as possible to meet the needs of the state’s school systems Governor Larry Hogan announced on Friday. The administration has also added a new appointment category for commercial driver’s license retakes to provide additional convenience. Knowledge and skill tests will be available for qualified applicants. School districts and / or bus drivers should email [email protected] to plan ahead. Applicants are requested to include their contact details including phone number, driver’s license number, time and location of their choice to facilitate planning. Customers planning to attend “Bus Drivers Day at MVA” are asked to cancel any other existing CDL tests. appointments to make these time slots available to other CDL candidates and prepare in advance by studying the CDL manual. To increase accessibility, the MVA recently launched a new function in the Central planning system which allows customers to make same-day appointments in the event of cancellation. The administration has also added a new appointment category for commercial driver’s license retakes to provide additional convenience.
