The summer sand show continues as Cape Fear Family Law hosts the second sand sculpture show on Saturday, June 11, 2022 on Wrightsville Beach.
The event, featuring a sculpture of a castle and the corresponding #ProtectYourHome, is the second of three in the Sculpt Your Future and Your Family program. The purpose of these family events is to gain exposure for the work undertaken by Cape Fear Family Law, but in a fun, informative and interactive way.
The theme for the second exhibit is “Protect Your Home” and will again be created by local artist Sandi Adams of SandiCastles. The public is invited to visit Wrightsville Beach Access #4 on the L-shaped lot from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Along with the carving, there will be kid-friendly games, treats, and information about what sets Cape Fear Family Law apart from the rest.
SandiCastles was founded in southeastern North Carolina by Mrs. Adams. In 2008 Sandi started working in the sand and in 2009 the SandiCastles team entered their first competition, Castles and Scoops, taking first place in the adult division. In 2010, she competed in the independent division of the North American Sand Sculpting Championship in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In addition to her work throughout Southeast North Carolina, Sandi was on staff for the 2011 World Sand Sculpting Championship, the 2012 and 2013 Sand Bash, and the 2013 USA Sand Sculpting Championship.
SandiCastle’s mission is to provide a unique and memorable service that will delight guests and contribute to their time together, enjoyment and learning. The work of the SandiCastles team has been featured throughout Southeastern North Carolina including Wrightsville Beach, Topsail and North Topsail Beaches, Holden Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, Oak Island Beach, Sunset Beach, Carolina Beach and Kure Beach.
The event is free and open to the public. The final event will take place on Saturday July 16, 2022 in Carolina Beach.
