Dometi Pongo talks about “Love & Hip-Hop: Lineage To Legacy”

When you think of the Franchise Love & Hip-Hop, some of the things that would come to mind are controversy, arguments, fighting sex and of course music. The newest addition to the franchise is not only starkly different from its predecessors, it aims to inform and illuminate Africa’s rich history while connecting some of its most notable players to the homeland.

Love and hip-hop: from lineage to heritage, is a two-part special event celebrating black history and African descent. The show debuts today (February 7) on VH1 and it features Love & Hip-Hop cast members Remy Ma, papoose, Yandy Smith HarrisRich Dollaz, Tokyo vanity, Paris Phillips, Karlie Red, and Mama Dee. This group of cast members take DNA tests through Ancestry Identity expert and founder of AfricanAncestry.com, Dr. Gina Paige, who not only identifies the country of their lineage, but also the tribe that their lineage comes from. line.

Then Black Ink Crew cast members Caesar Emmanuel, Katrina ‘Kat Tat’ Jacksonand Krystal Kill_lustrator design tattoos inspired by their ancestral history, forever linking them to their heritage.
