Indiantown Gap National Cemetery to Host 40th Annual Veterans Day Program

Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will host its 40th annual Veterans Day Program on Sunday, November 6 at 2 p.m.

The rain or shine event will take place in the parking lot above the Pennsylvania Veterans Memorial, which is currently being renovated.

There will be a limited number of disabled parking spaces at the cemetery itself. Parking will be available at the Arrowhead Community Club (9-65 Fisher Avenue) with shuttle service to and from the cemetery.

Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Warden John Spruyt will welcome the audience, followed by an opening address by Nicholas M. Taylor, Commander of the Pennsylvania Department for Catholic Veterans. Memorial Council Trustee Joseph Snyder will act as emcee.

The display on the Avenue of Flags – made up of casket flags donated by families of veterans – will fly during Veterans Day Week. State, territory and service flags will also fly.

Organizers said the community is encouraged to attend.
