People living with disabilities, their friends, families, carers and service providers are invited to join an online discussion group next month to help shape the draft action plan for people’s inclusion with disabilities from the MidCoast Council. The purpose of the focus groups is to talk about the progress of issues the community identified in a recent online survey, said MidCoast Council Livable Communities Director Paul De Szell. “We know that great ideas and solutions come from our community,” he said. “By listening to our community, we can better identify the improvements we can make and the best ways to achieve them,” De Szell said. “Having the strong voice of the community behind the plan also helps us get the funding we need to create change,” he said. “So when you get involved, it really makes a difference.” The online focus group sessions will be held on: as a telephone conversation To register for a focus group or select another way to provide your input, go to the MidCoast Council website at https://haveyoursay.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/disability-inclusion-action-plan Did Great Lakes Advocate online subscribers not only have 24/7 access to local and national news, sports, news and entertainment, but they also have access to our print edition in digital format, with all the commercials and classifieds at their fingertips.
