mIRC is a full-featured Internet Relay Chat client for Windows that can be used to communicate, share, play or work with others on IRC networks around the world, either in multi-user group conferences or in private online chats. face-to-face.

mIRC 7.71 Changelog:

  • Changed the way Windows system libraries are loaded to prevent DLL hijacking.
  • Added a system tray warning on startup if mIRC has been minimized to the system tray but Windows has hidden its icon.
  • Fixed colons being removed from nickname, alternate nickname, user, email, /nick, and server list entries.
  • Fixed /hsave -i intermittent crash bug caused by race condition/data race on multiple threads.
  • Changed the CTCP PING to not respond to text containing CTCP control codes to mitigate the Linux kernel NAT bug NAT-AGAIN (CVE-2022-2663).
  • Fixed evaluation of ID tab keys in edit boxes containing multiple lines delimited by CR/LF.
  • Fixed a loop break bug on a single nested line.
  • Fixed /socklisten -pu with UPnP, IPv6 address and dual stack not opening an UPnP IPv4 port on the router.
  • Fixed Aero theme bug where if /window +b was used, a miniature titlebar was drawn.
  • Fixed an alternate nickname bug when left blank in the login dialog.
  • Updated the cacert.pem file of CA root certificates.
