Ozinga will host the diaper reader

TINLEY PARK, IL – State Representative Tim Ozinga (R – Mokena) is running a campaign to address issues facing struggling mothers and families to ensure a sufficient supply of diapers to keep an infant or any- small clean, dry and healthy. The donations will directly benefit local mothers in need, according to a press release from the Odzinga office.

“In preparation for Diaper Awareness Week, my office is collecting diapers for mothers in need. Families cannot use WIC or Link to buy diapers, ”said Ozinga. “I ask residents to help me meet this important need in our community to help mothers and children.

In addition to diapers, the reader will collect baby wipes and diaper rash cream, the statement said.

In Illinois, Medicaid covers 52% of births and 23% of families live below the poverty line, the statement said. However, there are no government grants to help purchase diapers and wipes, products taxed at the highest sales tax rate, the statement said.

Representative Ozinga will be collecting diapers and other items at his district office at 11019 Front St, Ste 1W, Mokena, IL, from now through October 14. Amazon’s delivery service can send donations directly to the office, the statement said.
