The LANL Foundation opens a round of grants

The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Foundation launched its 2022 outreach grant cycle on January 10.

The foundation will accept proposals for education and community outreach grants at a funding level of $5,000.

Eligible applicants include pueblos and tribal communities, school districts, nonprofit educational institutions, IRS-qualified 501(c)3 organizations, and government agencies serving sovereign tribal communities or counties. Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe and Taos. .

The foundation categorizes proposals into two groups: Education Outreach and Community Outreach. Educational Outreach Proposals provide services that directly support public education programs and K-12 educators during in-school and out-of-school time. Community Outreach Grants support learners of all ages by funding community-based programs that help families and individuals grow, learn, and become fully engaged in their community.
