The Monsters return home on Sunday to welcome IceHogs with a day full of promotions

The Cleveland MBnsters will host the Rockford IceHogs for collectors day and Jewish Heritage Day on Sunday March 13for a puck drop at 3 p.m. at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The first 5,000 fans at the game will receive an exclusive Monsters trading card gift. Additionally, Sunday is a monster family day with Monsters Kid Meal Deals including a hot dog, Pepsi product and fries for $6.

The team’s first Jewish Heritage Day joins work done through other diversity, equity and inclusion promotional nights such as Pride, Black Heritage Celebration, Hispanic Heritage Night and celebrating women’s history. Les Monstres will welcome the guests of the Cleveland Jewish Federationthe Maltz Jewish Heritage Museum and the Mandel Jewish Community Center and recognize their handiwork during key moments throughout the game.

The Monsters will pay tribute to the CEO of the Mandel Jewish Community Center Michael Hyman during the ceremonial face-off and a special moment in the game before his retirement after 18 years in his role. Hyman was instrumental in implementing strategies that built a strong and stable Jewish Community Center that would fulfill its mission to connect and strengthen the Jewish and Greater Cleveland communities through programs and services that reflect the richness of Jewish life and improve physical, intellectual and spiritual well-being. .

JewishHeritage.pngMonsters Jewish Heritage Day will also feature the Cavaliers Team Member Resource Group (TMRG) organization JUICE. TMRGs are team member-led groups that provide support, mentorship, networking, and a platform to voice the ideas and opinions of team members representing specific dimensions of diversity. Jews for Unity, Inclusion, Connection and Education, also known as JUICE, focuses on creating a space of inclusion and education for Jewish team members and non-Jewish of Cavaliers, Monsters, Charge and Legion. A main focal point is to foster understanding and open conversations.
