USPS officials hope to hire 20 new employees to fill rural carrier associate and assistant rural carrier positions on the island.
The positions, which offer $19.06 an hour as a starting wage, will be located at post offices in Kalaheo, Kapa’a, Kilauea, Koloa and Lihu’e.
During career fairs, potential employees will receive brief tours of the USPS Carrier Annex back office operations to familiarize them with job requirements.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a fast-paced, rewarding work environment with good pay,” said Naupaka Hanchett, USPS Workforce Planning Specialist.
“As outlined in our USPS Delivering for America plan, we are continually modernizing and adapting to the changing needs of our customers. To do this, we need motivated and dedicated people who join us in serving our local communities and our nation,” she said.
